Yay, BL almost done

Ok, blocks are in. I had a slight mishap though. Just as I was tightening the last bolt in the front driverside corner, it sheared off at the nut. DOH, a bit too tight. oh well. I'll have to run and get another tomarrow.

 

Ok here's the wierd part. So I have '91, and the kit is a PA for 87-90, so guess what? All the bolts supplied by that kit fit just fine. Didn't need to get anything extra. Tomarrow I'll go get the replacement bolt, and I'm just gonna lengthen the power steering hoses, mod the radiator hoses, finally put in the oil cooler 88 gave me, and re-configure my relocated oil filter a bit. After all that, I'm gonna mess with my grill a bit (you'll see) and wire up some aux back up lights.

 

I'd have to say, so far, so good. The fun continues tomarrow...........

I wonder what is "different" now that the bolt size seems to have been proven wrong.

Perhaps you have an odd 91? Is it an early 91... perhaps more like the 90's than most of them were?

I looked at her Birthday tag, and she was born December '90, so that just might be the case. Hmmmmm very interesting.

Aaah, you really can get it up. It just takes a while. Does yours call for lengthening the PS hoses? I just relocated the reservoir and stuff like the instructions said, and all was fine. But mine is a 94, so who knows. Good job man.

Yeah, I lengthened mine. It's easy enough, rather than figuring how to remount the bugger. For some reason, everything's about together, and I still have a pile of bolts from the kit left.

Yeah, I've been finding uses for those left-over bolts for about 9 months now. I didn't really understand that, its like they threw in a handfull or 2 of extras just in case.
