findmypath
Hi everyone, I have a 03 LE and I recently noticed that my hitch is starting to rust on the edges. I'm not too happy about this so I was wondering since I'm still under the factory warranty would they replace it free of charge? Holla Back!!!! Thanks. Pezzy
I suppose it's worth a try, however I tend to doubt they would... I think all the hitches rust somewhat.... you might find yourself taking it off to clean up & repaint...
Filthy Luker
Just touch it up with some rust paint, and make sure the actual receiver has a lot of grease in it. Makes a mess of the towbar when you pull it out, but it will make the hitch last a lifetime.

I have never heard that you are supposed to grease a Reciver, but now that I think about it, it makes a lot of sense! I have a bike rack I put on and take off alot, and both the reciever and the rack are showing lots of signs of wear and tear and scraping.
