when i lift my pathy, what about the radiator?

i will be switching to an electric fan in a month or so, but do i just take the shroud off for now?

I wouldn't. The shroud directs air through your radiator. If you take it off, the only time air will flow through your radiator is when you're moving. You'll overheat at stoplights and fast food drive-thrus and such.

Remove the bottom of the shroud and you should be OK till you go electric. The shroud is 2 pieces, sometimes the bottom piece is missing or fell off though.

Yes, take it off. Do not throw it away though. If you correctley set up the electric fan you should use it again.

I've been running with out a shroud for a while and it's no problem and we've had a fair bit of hot temps lately.. You might have issues if you have your fan clutch is gone though.

but won't the shroud hit the fan once my radiator is 3 inches higher? i did not get the drop down kit. should i wait an dget the kit, or is it better without it? where do i buy the kit?

The only real problem with NOT relocating it (if you are going electric anyway) is the hoses need to be changed out.

Just take your shroud off. You do not need it unless you are going to do some SERIOUS prolonged low range 4wding.

You don't have to do any full removal or relocating of the shroud or radiator!! Just remove the small portion of the bottom of the shroud that runs around the bottom of the fan. It just snaps into place (at least on mine- a 94). After that, there is plenty of clearance, and no overheating problems, and I've driven mine from freezing to 100 degrees on monster climbs with no problems.
