njbray Posted August 11, 2005 Share Posted August 11, 2005 Interesting article - especially as I am getting mine replaced on Friday, belt has only done 42000 miles but I'm getting a rattling noise and my mechanic says the belt has stretched - probably due to getting oil on it because the oil seals were not replaced last time (I have bad oil leak and looking at the service history they have never been done - nor has the water pump!), car has 160,000 miles!
