i think on my 89 i went almost 90k without chaning them.. one day the truck wouldn't start which was totaly surrprising since it always did on the first bump of the key.. i messed with it a bit and decided to have a look at the plugs... there was hardly anything left and the gap was huge!!

 

so, i say pull them and have a look. if the look good just regap them and off you go...

Well, Slick and MZ pretty much illustrate the variety of opinions and approaches, ehh?

 

I think I fall somewhere in between. I use NGK's about every couple years - prob about 30K miles.
