Interval to change spark plug

I just want to know what is the best interval to change the spark plug. I have a pathfinder 1990. Thanks.

i've read something like 15,000 miles... depends on what kind of spark plugs you have in there. if you can't remember the last time it was done, then now might be a good idea

My manual states 30,000 miles and I have known people to run them longer. Spending a little bit more for 'premium' plugs is worth it to me and they can last longer.

I change them every 4th or 5th oil change (I have always been funny about changing plugs early), and I change my oil every 3,000 miles

i think on my 89 i went almost 90k without chaning them.. one day the truck wouldn't start which was totaly surrprising since it always did on the first bump of the key.. i messed with it a bit and decided to have a look at the plugs... there was hardly anything left and the gap was huge!!

 

so, i say pull them and have a look. if the look good just regap them and off you go...

I think I fall somewhere in between. I use NGK's about every couple years - prob about 30K miles.
