AC (4x4parts.com) is the only one that sells a 95 kit, it's a Performance Accessories kit for an older model with proper bolts added for the 95.

I just put my AC kit on two weeks ago. Fits good and we did it in about 2-3hrs. Not too bad.

awesome, just ordered it! anything i should know before i try and install it?

Remove the hoop that is at the rear of your gear box (around the tail shaft). Disconnect your steering column/shaft from the steering box and make sure your break lines (solid and coiled) have a little hand help streching them. Radiator may have to be unbolted but not removed (not sure on that my lift was done with the engine coversion).

I was gonna do mine this weekend, one question on ease of install

Whats easier, headers or body lift?

And the point of your question is......?

you dont have an awnser?

They are two totally different jobs. They are both easy to do if you have all of the correct tools and parts. To compare one with the other is nonsensical.

There, you have my answer.

True. Both jobs are a PITA as-is. I think a body lift would take longer, but the exhaust would be more of a PITA if you didn't get all the joints right or had something hitting due to improper fit...but then again if you don't get the body lift done right, it won't be driveable either.

I think the thing that could cause the biggest headache for either job would be broken bolts. Only heard one story of a Body bolt breaking on a lift, but it was the rear most mount and the guy had a hell of a time getting it fixed.

  • 2 weeks later...

well, it came in today, will hopefully get it installed in a few days. found a shop that said they'd do it for 150 so i'll let them do it since i've never done one. unless there is anyone around lower alabama that wants to help this weekend. :takebow:

tell them to take a hike and do it yourself, spend the $150 on something else... you never learn until you try. =D they probably haven't done one either and are just looking to get the cash =)

Agree. Get a mate to help you drink beer while you do the lift. Don't rush it and it will be fine. That $150 is better off in your pocket.
