Hi there,

Just wanted to check before ordering a new o2 sensor if I have the right part.  I got P0138/P0139 error codes when I scanned after my engine light came on. Bank 1 Sensor 2.

I was going to order: Bosch 15727 From amazon.ca (I’m in Vancouver). Does that sound right? The vehicle is manufactured 03/01

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B000BZI4KM/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8

thanks for your help!

To be honest, I would stay away from the universal style sensor. The direct fit costs a bit more, but is more reliable. I have seen a lot of issues with the cut and splice sensors in OBD2 vehicles.

Bank 1 sensor 2 is the down stream or rear (after catalyst) sensor on the right (passenger) side. It is entirely possible that the wires on your existing one have rubbed against an edge somewhere along the way and is what is throwing your codes.

I just did it with this one from Amazon

Denso 234-4713 O2 Sensor(Downstream Right) $55.86($50.78+$5.08)

Remember to use anti-seize

You’ll have to pull the plastic engine cover to get to the green plug in on the rear passenger side of the engine - well, maybe not, but it’s alot easier.
