Door won’t open! How to remove panel?

My 01 passenger rear door will not open. The exterior handle is limp and just kind of floats and while it locks and unlocks remotely the interior won’t open it either. The doors stuck closed and I need to figure out how to get the panel off to see what’s going on hopefully without destroying it. Also a place to find a replacement if need be.

I've always wondered how to do this also. I've tried to open several pathfinders at the JY with no luck .

Might be worth trying a locksmith if you get really stuck. I'd probably pull the seat (to give me a little more room to work) and see how much of the door panel I could remove. If the trim around it doesn't overlap it you could probably get some kind of pry bar with a 90° end in there to pop the clips free. If you can get that off, then you have the fun of sticking your arm into the door and fishing around for the latch mechanism.

Have you been able to get the door panel off or the door open yet? The rear drivers side door on my 96 is stuck closed. Both handles just flop like they are broke inside.

Yes. Interior and exterior will NOT open. They are NOT functional in any way shape or form. The door is a paperweight

I don’t know if you can get it off with the door closed
