inner CV boot kinda leaking

ever since i put the AC lift on my innter CV boot doesnt look like its on all the way and after awhile of driving it leaks out. its like the clamp isnt tight enough or somethin. what can i do to fix this?? (besides manual hubs) there on the way this week)

push it back on.. retighten the clamp... just an idea

it doesnt look like a hose clamp..not sure how to tighten it. (although i didnt look at the clamp that close. im gonna have a better look tomorrow when i have more light.

i was being a bit sarcastic there...just put a couple of large hose clamps hooked togather and tighten that... the factory banding is not really adjustable...

You'll probably need to snip off the stock clamp and use a large-diameter hose clamp, like mzxtreme said.

i just put a bigger hose clamp over it with some electrical tape.. i figure itll be good enogh when i get the warn manual hubs

Hey, a bit off topic here, just wondering how the AC arms installed, did they line up precisely or were they a PITA like i've heard??

the arms or the lift coils.. i dunno about the arms but the coils went in easy! no compressor needed

...so do you have coils in the front?? i'm running an '88 so i'm guessing the setup is a wee bit different. I was wondering about the AC arms but i guess i'll just have to get some and find out.

And Nick...I've actually had a completely shredded CV boot for about a year now, but it doesn't make much difference with the manual hubs, as the CV axles aren't turning with the hubs unlocked.

 

I will be replacing the boot soon though, because I'm going to be going wheeling on the 9th at Rausch Creek in PA and can't be having that!
