Pet barrier options?

My wife and I just had our 1st child on July 4th, and as mostly clueless new parents with a dog we want to put up a pet barrier so our newborn won't get run over when the dog sees a squirrel out of the window.

What do you guys recommend?

Amazon.com has a ton of options, but I'd like some actual feedback.

Thanks.

Ended up ordering this pet barrier from smile.amazon.com

Petego K9 Guard Universal Pet Safety Barrier

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MV0CJDS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'll post up some pics and a preliminary review once I get it in the back of the truck.

Just realized it was $44.00 yesterday, and $29.99 today. Online with their CS to see if I can get a small refund.

I build this protector/cusion for the rear side... Moka loves it... And I do not need pet barrier 👍

I like what you did there. We have a rear-facing carseat for our newborn positioned on the middle of the rear seat, and don't want our dog, or any other potential object hitting her in the event of a rapid braking maneuver.

Good thinking. My dad had one in his '01 but I don't remember the brand. It was a different design, looked like somebody chopped up a shopping cart, and most of what I remember is trying to get it to quit rattling! Looks like the one you ordered should do better with that.
