Sylmarv
My 1994 pf uses anything to turn the ignition so i decided before i woke up to it being gone to install a simple toggle kill switch. Everything was going great until my youngn lil helper accidently while flipping the switch in the on position let the bare wire touch the metal column housing and now i dont have any crank, start, radio, cigarette lighter, but i do have dash lights, headlights, horn, gauges work. I checked all the fuses under dash on drivers side and none were blown. Im not sure if there is anymore fuses somewhere but i noticed the fuse box didnt have an ignition fuse listed. Help me please. Thank you single mom of 5.
kdj
I know the '96 and newer have fuses under the hood near the battery, I assume the earlier models do as well.
Sylmarv
Under the hood is a relay fuse box with 2 blade fuses but the relays are not ignition. Any other ideas? My pf is a
Cuong Nguyen
There are fusible links on the postive battery post but I am not sure if any of those would be affected. I'm not too familiar with those. The fusible links are basically wire fuses that melt/break.
Slartibartfast
^^Fuse links would be my bet too. They're sections of slightly thinner wire with plug ends that burn out to save the rest of the wiring from burning out when something shorts out. This thread's got pictures of what you're looking for and even part numbers.
