95 WD21 Muffler

I am looking to replace my muffler with this Walker 18321. My Pathfinder is in another location so I cannot examine it.

It looks like the front bolts on to the catalytic converter (flange below).

Does the back bolt up or is it welded to the remaining tailpipe?

Thanks for help.

Andy

Personally I am a penny pincher and can relate to wanting bolt on parts...However I have found (recently) that the local exhaust shop can replace the entire system from the cat back for not much more than what I paid for my muffler. Just a thought but might check into it...very difficult to repair leaks if you wwld it yourself and are not experienced...not saying you can't handle it, just a thought.

For example the muffler I was going to purchase alone was 85 bucks, and the quote from the local place was 125 including replacement "turbo" muffler and complete tailpipe assembly installed.

To me it was a no brainer.
