AkPrecision
so about 2 months ago (last time it rained in socal) i went up to rowher flats and found some deepish puddles of mud. i have no skid plate under neath. the water was up to the top of the front bumper but only for 5 seconds about 5 times lol. now i have a sound that sounds like a whining. the belt was replaced by a nissan master tech a year ago and appears to be good. i havent gotten underneath yet to see what is bolted onto the belt on the bottomof the motor that im guessing got submerged. the whining sound goes up and down with rpm. almost sounds like a little tiny bit of clanking sometimes. so did i ruin an alternator or power steering pump or something? i dont want to be stranded in the middle of the desert so i would like to attempt to figure out if it is ok before my next trip. any input is helpful

Rebelord
Very well could be gunk in the alternator. Or the bearing for the tensioners for the belts. Sent from fat fingers on S6
CDN_S4
Clean the idlers. Take them apart. Clean them off and lubricate them. That's what fixed my squeal.
