R3GGI3
I'm changing out my front shock and I can't tell if this circular piece of metal is an old left over part. Or if that part is welded on to help the front shock. I'm thinking its old piece and it needs to come off but it is pressed almost welded on. Do any of you guys know? R3GGI3
Damn it, it's now 50/50 on what it really is. I thought it was a washer, but I wasn't sure. I wouldn't care about it but I have read how someone didn't put everything back in right in the shock and it made the shock perform bad. adamzan
It's a cup for the shock bushings. When you get new shocks, you'll see they only come with 2 new cups, for the outsides. That is supposed to be there.

djratlif
Same as the strut rod bushings on the front of the WD21, I had to weld in new replacements when I changed them. Used a couple of bearing races to get the job done.
