ebayfish
I'm about to swap a 2wd setup on my truck. I have all the parts but the pitman arm. I ordered a MOOG idler arm, but it is construed rather differently from the old one. It almost looks like a ball joint instead of a bolt shaft. Anyway, its not going to work with the AC idler arm brace I ordered. What are the better brands that can be used with this brace that I should swap this Moog for? The Moog arm for a 2000xterra looks similar, anyone tried it?
ahardb0dy
I like Moog but if you can't use it, and I know why, my next choice is Beck Arnley
ebayfish
Beck arnley makes great stuff too, do you know if it mimics the stock design?
ahardb0dy
This link is for the pathfinder idler arm, rockauto shows a different part number between the 2 and 4 wd for the hardbody, but only shows this one for the pathfinder, both the 2 and 4 wheel drive one's look the same http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=493175&cc=1211993 Edited November 24, 2014 by ahardb0dy
adamzan
I believe the idlers are all the same. The moog one is just they're idea of a stronger idler arm for our trucks. Apparently they aren't that great and let the CL twist even more.
Nefarious
Stock idler arm with new oem nylon bushings and the idler arm brace. That's what I've used for years with 33s and never had an issue!
