MudSlinger
I live in upstate NY, and its pretty cold here, so every morning, i go out and start my pathy about ten minutes before i leave. the other day, i went back out to find her pretty hot. i opened the hood and found the lower radiator hose leaking. OK, no problem, so i fixed that, but it still overheats. I think it might be airlocked, but i don't know where the bleeder is, but it might also be the thermostat. Anyone else had this problem? BTW, my pathy is an 87' SE V-6. Thanks a bunch in advance.
hardwaretoad
Sounds like a stuck thermostat...
94extreme
there should be a bleeder screw on the upper hose (on the left when looking at the engine bay from the front)... could be air pockets but most likely the thermo...
MudSlinger
well i fixed the problem, no thanks to the guy who owned it before me. for some ungodly reason, he took the bleeder line out and just put a straight hose on it. i replaced the bleeder, bled the lines, and she is running fine. thanks for the help guys.
