How/where to post question from new user

Hello everyone;

 

Just a couple questions about posting/questioning etiquette.

 

I've got a project on the go, wanted to share some pics... simple stuff for now, interior gutted, stereo hilariousness, rear seats removed... eventually some more mechanical to-do's and then I'm going to camperize the rear (and hopefully make wooden door panels, etc.) Is this 'general forum' the place to just sorta throw fun stuff to look at?

 

Then for asking questions/needing help/desperately needing help, a post to the general 'garage forum' with pics/info/question?

 

This may seem quite novice but I've never really used online forums before and wish to not clutter things up, as well as maximize your support!

You can start your own build thread in the members section I believe, for mechanical questions post in the garage, try to search first as any question you may have had probably been asked already,

 

If you want to post pics not nissan pathfinder related do it in the off topic section, most of the time if you post in the wrong area a moderator will move it for you

If you want to show off a wheelin trip/road trip/flashlight you made out of an altoids tin/etc, the pictures and videos section is for you to use/add to existing thread if relevant (say adding pics of your feline to our 'caturday' thread) http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/forum/27-pictures-and-videos/

the general forum section is just that, kinda general and as expected off topic can be quite off topic (and the active 'poho' thread would be where you would go for randomness and public b.s. be prepared though, those guys/girls that frequent there are a bit 'off')

 

adding photos is best done by using a photo hosting site such as image shack or photobucket (free to use as well) and I tend to prefer just copy/paste the

Seems like you have a level head. Thank you for the "courtesy" post. Like Nunya stated, the "PoHo" thread is full of the most random stuff. (psssst .... never admit that you drive a Miata if you have one; those guys are ruthless!)

I use to live near 100 Mile House and spent alot of time on the Island as well. Still miss it.
