Front End Lift

:confused: I have already lifted my rear with OME springs and Shock, and now I’m about to start on the front. Question? Should I get the medium or heavy duty spring? I have medium in the rear. Questions? Also since I’m replacing the springs should I go ahead and replace the struts and strut mounts? Thanks

I've been told by OME retailers that the heavy duty will be too stiff got the front unless you have a heavy duty bumber and a winch.

if it was me i would just replace the strut at the same time too..i didnt when i put my spacers in and now i need new struts but i dont wanna deal with that again...it was a pain in the hiney (for me atleast

When you say spacers, are those used in conjunction with say the OME set up to get added hight? If not what are they used for.

no OME springs...just 2 inch lift spacers

Is there a set for both front and back? If so could you use them with OME suspention? Would it cause any problems?

not sure what you mean by set for frong and back...theres 2 spacers for the back and 2 for the front.. as far as using it with the OME springs im not sure how that would do cuz i dont know how much the OME alone lifts it

from what I have heard it lifts it about an inch or less.

then yea it should probably work.... cuz i hear the AC lift ends up bein about 3, so i dont see why you couldnt use the 1 inch ome springs and 2 inch spacers itd equal out to be 3 too

...or you could use the AC lift and spacers and get about 5 inches.

You could do that but it would put your front end components at a very extreme angle. without manual hubs you would be breaking alot of stuff on the trail i imagine.

Yea the lift and spacers are risky. I advise not to do that. Ross is right about the angle.

It was just a dream . Anyway I have a 2 Wheel drive and my 1 inch lift is good for me.

Now I think about it, where did you get the spacers that you have, and how much did they cost?

there custom... im gonna be selling them soon cuz im gettin the AC lift...i need some heavier duty springs for towing

I have never heard of those spacers. Just a couple of questions. Where do you get them? How much? and do they work with stock springs, and monroe shocks and struts? I just had those shocks and struts installed less than a year ago. They are supposed to be pretty tough, however the right rear already blew up once.

If you made them where did you get the parts, and what are they made of? After I put the OME springs on I would not mind adding an extra inch or so.

custom meaning home made... some guy in like a machine shop made them...i bought em for 150 so idunno..maybe ill throw em on ebay or some somethin
