I was watching a show some of you may have seen "Wheeler Dealers", one episode they had a car that was leaking and the mechanic Edd used a smoke machine to fill the interior up with smoke in order to see where the leak was, he found it at one of the doors and spoke to I think it was a dealer tech on how they usually fix this ( instead of replacing the weather stripping).

 

He said sometimes they can cut a small slit in the rubber and insert a length of rubber hose which pushes the weatherstripping back into shape, he did it and it worked. Was wondering if I could do that on my PF so today I looked t the weatherstripping around the front door and in places it looks collapsed but I found out it is hollow, so think I'm going to pick up some small diameter vacuum line and give it a try.

 

Anyone ever tried this or seen it done?
