elbpf
I have a leak at the collector (new Headers, where the two sides come together and go into the single pipe). Does anyone know of a sealant that can be used for these, without having to replace pipes or other parts. I would love to be able to just squeeze some sort of high temp rubber cement or something over the leak and call it good for a while? Any ideas or quick fixes welcome on this, thanks. Kingman
Permatex Ultra Copper works for a while, but its not permanent. What kind of collector are you running? Flange and gasket? Best thing to do is get another gasket. They're the same price as a tube of Permatex.
Precise1
^I actually vote for both. My headers and Y pipes have gaskets and Permatex copper. No leaks. Like he asked, what components do you have? B
Kingman
Yeah 10/4 I use gaskets and the Permatex as well.
MattV
Try Remflex gaskets. You'd have to buy the material and make your own. They only list the exhaust manifold for the VG30.
