Two Questions

1. Pathfinders come in a 4.6 v8??

2. will 32x10 tires fit under stock suspesion on a 97 Pathfinder SE

No, and HIGHLY unlikely, so ill just say No.

Why would anyone own a manual?

Because its awesome, and back in the mid 90's when these were built, it was still a popular thing to have. Now were all lazy, weak Americans who complain about having to use a clutch in traffic...

For the record, even though after 145k my clutch is due for replacement and punishes me frequently for trying to shift fast or hard, i still love it!! NO regrets on getting a manual for daily driven car, plan to do the same for the next car...(**cough** R32 GT-R **cough**).

EDIT: Hey linkin, whatever happened to your short shifter kit???

For #1...sorta. The 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Armada has a 5.6L V8. The V8 annoyingly shows up under "2004 Pathfinder" in a lot of parts databases, including RockAuto, or otherwise as a trim "Armada SE/LE" vs. "SE/LE". It occasionally catches me off guard when I'm asked at the local auto parts store if my 2004 has a V6 or V8, to which I normally pause before asking, "there was a V8 that year?" The Pathfinder designation was dropped the following year.
