If it doesn't go down to the windshield flange you could just fix it without removing the windshield just take the molding off. Get some rust converting primer to stop the rust. It looks like someone has put some sealer in there on yours where a chunk of the weatherstrip is missing. Maybe they were trying to stop leaks. I did this awhile back a few years ago to look like theres isnt some molding missing but i noticed that rust was just starting a few years back. I just bought my pathy back from my brother inlaw.
