River044road
Any body know of any engines that will fit in the tight engine compartment of the 97pathy? Looking for something "simple" but with the end result of more power and a better engine than the weak vag33.
ferrariowner123
You could do a VG33ER, read this thread, there is a lot of info for this topic. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/34936-horse-power-upgrades-for-the-33/ This thread talks alot about it, do a quick search, its been discussed (ALOT) before. -Kyle
River044road
So the 33er has a super on it? They were also talking about boreing out , you wouldn't happen to know where they sell the parts for such a project?
ferrariowner123
Your best solution is to source a crashed xterra (or if you want a manual transmission, find a frontier) and then pull that motor and stick it in the pathy. Obviously it's alot more involved than that. But it would be fairly expensive. I watched a rolled frontier SC with 79k got for 3200 (ish) on a salvage auction. Not worth it in my opinion. EDIT:also I believe he bored it out to fit the VH45 pistons he had to replace the crap ones his motor originally had IIRC Edited March 5, 2013 by ferrariowner123
