vagabond
Make sure you get the right one, count the pins on the back of the switch, most are 4 pin but some are 3 pin. I've found both, in fact I installed a 3 pin in my 88 when I fried the stock switch
Slartibartfast
You might check here: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/35026-1995-nissan-pathfinder-part-out/ The dimmer in it should be exactly the same as yours.

Do you know which pin configuration applies to which year/dash type (or whatever the difference is)? B
DanielB
It's the 'rheostat'. This is from the '93 and earlier service manual. Both VG30 and KA24 use the four wire, but notice that one wire simply loops over. I suspect it's for self-illumination, and the 3 wire just has this connection done internally. So essentially would be able to use both. I have the '94 manual suplement, but it does not cover this, so may be the same.
Precise1
Yeah, ok, sure. That's what that means... Ok, 3 or 4 pin is fine and I'll grab the pigtail if I can. Talk to me about bolts and metal and tolerances, I don't need no stinkin' wires! B
