BBB
I'm taking the pathfinder to the beach for a few days. Plan on driving on the beach and also will be parked near the beach. Is there anything I can do before I go to defend against the corrosive effects of the salt spray on engine or electrical systems? Is this even an issue? Precise1
You can have it undercoated. There are several types, but I'm not familiar with them. The other option is to wash everything down well after, make sure you get inside the frame and up underneath everything. Don't go into the water unless you have to? Pav
For just a few days you will be fine...just take it to a car wash that gives it a good blast of water or just do it yourself. Its crazy how much salt builds up on cars by the sea/ocean. There was a thread on here about the Nissan Hardbody's they use for beach patrol having their computers sealed up with plastic bags but that was because they were constantly having water drip on them from the lifeguards. Have fun at the beach...should make for some good pics. Cheers
92Path_68CJ
Coat the underside in motor oil. That's how the front end of my Jeep and Pathfinder was preserved.
