Exhaust Parts List on 88'

Does anyone have a parts list for replacing the exhaust on an 88'? Local napa wants too much for muff/catalytic/pipes. I'm searcing online and finding many variations of the stock system, but far better pricing.

Haynes reair book does not list part #'s. Im not looking for OEM, just a generic that will fit w/o much modification.

I've searched forum and only came across the header replacements. I only need to replace from the catalytic back.

Thanks..

Ditto. That or just go in with no muffler, tell them you'd like a new high-flow muffler installed along with everything from the cat back. Shouldn't run more than the cost of replacement pipes with all the flanges, gaskets and hangers, and it'll give you more power as well.

I ran out of time and had to get a shop to button up mine, basically from the header Y pipe back. Charged me 150 bucks, put in the piping, cat, muffler, and O2 sensor tube, as well as bending all the pipe and welding it all together. Had it back to me that afternoon. Shop around and ask.

Did you supply the muffler? I aimed on the average price, local shops can work deals for cheaper probably. I can almost guaruntee you that if you walk in and say "hey, this is what I want. I want XXX muffler (or supply your own- say, a Flowmaster 40 series) and XXX diameter exhaust (say 2 1/4, there are guys on this forum with the ideal size)," they'll work with you on a good price. Its people that walk in with no clue and say "hey, what can you put some cool exhaust on my truck" that they love, and they'll take you for a ride if they think you don't know what you're talking about. Just do a bit of researching on what you want, then go in to buy informed.

Thanks for the heads up, I did go to Flowmasters web site. That is why I noticed cheaper pricing online.

Loacal muffler guy wanted $300 for the catalytic back and said he uses universal cat/muffler, which i can get both for $80 online. So basically $220 for pipe & labor.

For that kind of pricing, I want to do it myself.

Basically I wanted to get close as possible replacement parts so when I do the job myself, I don't need to mod. much. I'm just a little skeptical of how/what parts come up on online stores searches. Some are very through where others just list limited systems.

Just wondered if anyone ordered a system & had a exact parts list?
