msnreiter24
I have a 88 pathfinder. wen i go to slow down and come to a stop it has a bad grinding noise and the car shakes real bad. Could i have a brake pad hungup or bad brakes alltogether?
p51speed
im no expert on brakes but it sounds like you may have worn a pad down and the shudder could be caused by the rivet on the break pad(s) grinding against your rotor. I am sure one of the more seasoned guys will chime in and they will probably have a better idea of what could be causing it , ( by the way if you havent yet head over and introduce yourself) welcome to NPORA. Sgtplatt
I'd stop driving it and check front brakes soon. Replacing rotors can get costly, pads are quick and easy...
Towncivilian
Stuck caliper(s)? Remove the slide pins, clean old lube, lubricate with Syl-Glide.
