GAS Posted December 13, 2004 Share Posted December 13, 2004 Hi there The never ending stoy continues The conector for the fusible link broke off here is picture http://img41.exs.cx/img41/1354/1242500img1en.jpg It is very exspencive to order tis here in Iceland. Is it ok to put plugs on the wires and trow the black box avay ? 88pathoffroad Posted December 14, 2004 Share Posted December 14, 2004 Yes, go ahead and cut the wires off, crimp or solder new ring terminals on the ends of the fusible links and attach them to the battery terminal. hardwaretoad Posted December 17, 2004 Share Posted December 17, 2004 Wish I'd known that when mine went like 6 years ago in the middle of a 3 week vacation travelling... ended up going to a stealer & buying the new line (with all the multiple connectors) and replacing the whole ball of wax thinking it was something magical...
