As was mentioned above, it's not unusual for people to have a hard time with the shifter before they get the hang of it. While stopped and in neutral or park if in an auto, put the T case into neutral, push down and pull back simultaneously. It should engage 4low. You may need to clean/ lube the linkage (accessable from the drivers side). Once in 4low, pull up on the shifter to lock it in. :aok:
