Blow Molded Metal

From the conspiracy theorist in me: The Government has finally released more alien technology they found in Roswell!

From the metallurgist in me: Stronger than steel? What about sheer strength? Does it bend or break under stress? Given the alloy, what process would be used to attach it to similar metals? If it is malleable at low temp, I doubt we'll see it in engine manufacturing. :scratchhead:

Yep, interesting but the claims were very vague and only positive. I'd like to see specs, applications and the limitations/weaknesses of the material.

The alloys are made up of different metals, including zirconium, nickel, titanium and copper.

It's not going to be cheap, that is for sure!!

The material, they say, will be as expensive as high grade steels. Wonder how expensive the processes will be? I know blow molding is an existing tech, but what needs retooled for metal?
