RustyButTrusty
My heater has only been mildly warm here recently and I believe my heater core needs to be flushed. The input heater hose gets very hot, the output not nearly as much. Do you have to drain all the coolant to take the hoses loose without getting antifreeze everywhere? MY1PATH
First, did you check your coolant level and radiator cap? if your coolant is low the bubles go to the core and keep it cold. If your cap leaks you will get bubbles in your core and get cold. Ok, If that don't work get a reducer fitting from your hardware store and screw it on your garden hose. clamp the core inlet hose to the fitting and unhook the outlet. turn on hose full blast and watch what comes out. Have fun. Edited February 23, 2011 by MY1PATH
nunya
Don't forget to 'burp' your cooling system to make sure theres no air in it too. Theres a bleed screw but I prefer the "park on an incline/put the front on jackstands and let it run for a little bit" method

ahardb0dy
you can flush the heater core all you want, as others have said if you have air in the system the heat won't get hot
