I think that was due to them being 15 years old when I bought them. The good thing about them though is they are re-fill capable. Now I have to find good refills for them that are not 15 years old. rocknforchrist Posted December 6, 2010 Share Posted December 6, 2010 I use Rain-X on all my clients cars(detail) and have used it for years on my own vehicles. Most days it rains here i dont have to use my wiper blades at all. And also in the winter time here in SW Missouri it aids with ice removal. Also good for door seals to keep them from becoming froze to your doorjamb. As far as wiper blades Rain X Anco and Bosch all seem to hold up the same esp with all the ice we get during the winter. But the Anco's dont take the summer heat well...bought a new pair for the Galant this summer and they were torn in just acouple of weeks! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

94stickpathy Posted December 7, 2010 Share Posted December 7, 2010 Ok I tried all kinds of blades that cost less than $15 and still no new windshield... 3 days ago I saw a rain-x lattitude for like 16 bucks and decieded what the hell, I'll try it. (I got the 18") WOW! streak free wipe even with all the pitting in the glass. I only bought One cause I was ready to be disappointed but I'll be goin back for another now. Now I can get the bugs off the glass without making things worse. that streak free cleaning only last for a little bit. got the same wipers, thought the same thing... now? they suck. all the time. i dont even use them. It would be easier to swap the refills on actual PIAA blades though. It's just a one time payment of $34 for the blades and then $12 every time you need a new pair of blades because you just change the rubbers. Never pay for overpriced blades again! Now before anyone says: "BUT I CAN BUY 2 BLADES FOR $9 AT WALMART/COSTCO" No, this is not some cheap ass garbage. These are silicone performance blades. The whole point is paying $12 for high quality blades every time by just getting the refills. They also last a long time so I think it's the best bang for the buck yet.
