PIAA is a great brand. How much would that model of light be if you ordered it at a local shop?
MY1PATH
PIAA's only downfal (IMO) is the price. those lights there retail for like $280 I have seen PIAA take some abuse and they seem to hold their own pretty well.
87BeachCruiser
I'm in the market for some auxiliary lighting and it is shocking (pun intended) how expensive the name brands are. Been searching CL and other places to find 'em second hand. I imagine the el cheapo Autozone lights are as crummy as they look?
dududuckling
I've got PIAA 520 and it never lets me down... its been submerged in mud and water and everything is completely sealed and clean. Most of the time, water comes in from the opening where the bulb is inserted and that kills the light. But never had problem with PIAA. If you gonna submerge it in water, triple check all the connectors are water proof. As for the PIAA 510, my friend had the same model mounted on his FJ bumper. Its brighter than the halogen headlamp for sure, but not as bright as the 520s. I think its because I've got ion fog yellow on the 520 that uses more wattage. For PIAA with that price, I think its very decent
OldSlowReliable
Personally, something so vulnerable and such, I'd be weary of spending that kind of $$ If your looking for something a bit cheaper, walmart says hella's for like 50 bucks or something around there, and I see a fair bit of people using them.
