Rear Brakes

I have a 96 LE with 134k on the odo and the rear brakes have never been replaced. I had them inspected about 10k miles ago and they were fine. Is that common?

My fronts are factory original at 125K miles, but they're getting low. Haven't looked at the rears, but they're original too.

That's incredible. I had the front ones replaced twice. The first time I used a cheap brand so they didn't last. The second time around,I used a better brand and they have been great. My neighbor has about 100k on the front brakes of his Mazda 3, but I didn't believe him. Never thought front brakes last that long.

Well, considering the pathy does 80% of it's braking up front (unless you have a heavy load, in which case it's 60/40) it doesn't surprise me. Mine has 167K with the original rears. Fronts been replaced once since 130K.
