BoneZ Posted January 6, 2010 Share Posted January 6, 2010 I have heard that the Xterra has a compatible diff housing and gears if you pull the hole assembly, with my 91 H233B I wanted to know if anyone can confirm this for me. MY1PATH Posted January 6, 2010 Share Posted January 6, 2010 the r50 and d22 versions of the h233b use 33 spline side gears whereas the d21 uses 31 splines. this is simple, just swap the side gears when you swap the diffs. while your at it (if your using lsd)make sure the discs stay stacked the same order as they came out of the d21 diff. the newer diffs were stacked in a differant order that reduces lsd traction.
