1987caddy
Has anyone used this newer type of fluid? I have a gallon left over from my GMC and was thinking of using this in the power steering and transfer case. Trying anything for better gas mileage. BTW it is going in a 95 xe v6 5 speed

I don't know how true it is but I have redline mt90 in my t-case and my 5 spd tranny and it feels smooth even in the cold winter. I will be trying their gear oil next when its time to change my diff fluids. and I just use palin dextron III in my PS pump but I'd like to hear what others say about dextron VI for PS
Steve_RI
Dexron VI is completely compatible with the older specs, so use it with no worries. I have it in my PS pump myself. I use RP syncromax in the transfer case. It's a GL-4 gear oil with the viscosity of an ATF (about 7.5cSt). I have the manual tranny, so no worries if they mix.
