Kittamaru
Okay, so, I changed my oil a week ago, and my mileage dropped like a stone... went from almost 350 miles a tank to around 275 miles a tank... All I did was change the oil + filter, add SeaFoam to the oil (plan to change it again after 1k so it doesn't overclean due to my gaskets leaking a little), and run Lucas Injector Cleaner thru... I'm guessing maybe the Lucas had something to do with it? I mean, I can smell gas a little bit... Plugs/Cap/Rotor/Wires are all under 5k miles on them. No lights on the dash, and she doesn't seem to perform any different...

Kittamaru
I'll give it a shot, but I dunno why there'd be codes
87pathy
you oil is probably thin from the seafoam. and bypassing the rings or seals
Kittamaru
I only added about 3/4 a can - would that dilute it that much?
87pathy
doesn't take much. it may or may not be the problem. I am Anti addative crap in my engine.
Kittamaru
*nods* I normally don't add anything except Lucas stuff once in a great while, but I was overdue and I know my engine was dirty... I'd love to give it a proper breakdown and cleanout but I don't have time or money or experience to do that
adamzan
doesn't take much. it may or may not be the problem. I am Anti addative crap in my engine. X2 I never put additives in my oil or gas, truck seems to run just fine and get good mileage too.
unccpathfinder
i've only used seafoam in my gas...my buddy ran it in his passport to solve lifter tick and it was only like 1/2 a can every 6k miles... check for codes and maybe you just got some bad gas...
