Spark plug boot puller

Recommended Posts

I find removing the spark plug cables from the plugs difficult because of the deeply recessed location. It is easy to pull the cable right off the clip that connects to the plug.

The Haynes manual has a picture of a narrow boot puller. I went looking and the best I could find was something similar to this one at Princess Auto in Langley, BC:

Suggestions? I really dislike pulling on the cables.......

i've got some snapon ones that are awesome...they were given to me long ago and honestly had no idea what they would be used for until I got my 95 and it clicked as soon as i tried to start pulling plug wires...

they are mostly like this but mine doesnt have insulators on the tongs and they seem to be about 3" longer than these
