OldSlowReliable
Ideas on how to fix 'er up? My handbrake has apparently rusted through, and rendered it useless, and with my wearing brakes, i really kinda want the reassurance of a working hand brake! 94extreme
you can get the parts at autozone and other places as well as at the dealer.. it's all expensive any way you go.. best to do all three pieces but that probably a couple of hundred at least. it's been a while since i looked into it. GrimGreg
You can pull one from the junk yard, but it's a gamble on how long it would last till it snaps too.

OldSlowReliable
Well, if the 87 owner emails me back with a response to when I can come get parts off his truck....I think i'll grab the section of the cableing, and try to get some sort of clamp that i can pinch two wires together in...kind of like one of those nifty splice connectors.... gah i hate rust
