twenty minutes my @$$...of course you have a lifted pathy with different parts and everything on it so sure I bet it is easy, mine wouldn't come out worth a damn, took me several hours, damn stock starters. It still had that little oil divert deal, which did no good the thing was still caked in oil from changes and poor work from past owners. But I guess twenty minutes might be plausible without all the mitigating factors I had.

Oh and check your battery, sometimes they get a bad ground at the connection. Also it could be from your signal wire. Mine had been worn through right at the end, and it did the same thing. But like someone already said, check your grounds.

2 bolts and 2 wires?

with the body lift it comes out fairly easily because you can reach in between the frame and body. I changed mine when it was still stock and it took about 45 min

My stuff is All stock around that area.

I had the same problem with mines so i ended up pulling the starter out which doesn't take 20 minutes lol.Took the @#%^ thing to rebuild put it back and still had the same issue. But as i was turning the key i notice some smoke coming from the battery and there it was a plug that in conected to the battery + terminal. The plug wasn't making any contact due to corrosion so i stripped and conected to the battery terminal the truck started with just 1 attempt. I was like :ar15: all that work and it wasn't even the starter it being almost a year and no more clicking noise so far. Hope it gives you an idea. :fireworx:
