I had the same problem with mines so i ended up pulling the starter out which doesn't take 20 minutes lol.Took the @#%^ thing to rebuild put it back and still had the same issue.But as i was turning the key i notice some smoke coming from the battery and there it was a plug that in conected to the battery + terminal. The plug wasn't making any contact due to corrosion so i stripped and conected to the battery terminal the truck started with just 1 attempt. I was like all that work and it wasn't even the starter it being almost a year and no more clicking noise so far. Hope it gives you an idea. -
