Sil80sydways
So basically I bought some super winch manual locking hubs from napa and the box says its for a 1990 Nissan pathfinder! But when I went to put them on they were to big for the axle end with the splines! About 1/4 inch to 3/8" bigger, and the holes for the bolts are not lining up. They are also a little further apart then the stock bolts? Can anyone tell me why? or could it be that they put the wrong hubs in the wrong box? I just want to save the time, cause I will have to go into napa and get this fixed Thanks guys, -Nate
Simon
They won't fit. The 87-89's used different front hubs.
GrimGreg
They won't fit. The 87-89's used different front hubs. What is odd though is that the hubs should still have the same basic shaft diameter and bolt pattern size. 87-89 27 splines 90-95 28 splines
88pathoffroad
Sounds like they got the wrong hubs in the box. They should at least match up on the bolt holes. Count the splines inside the hub, how many are there?
Sil80sydways
Hmmm it has 31 splines? and the bolts that hold the hub on dont line up? As you can see with 31 splines, it says on the net that the 31 spline will fit from 89-93 and will not fit my 87..well you would call it an 86? What you think? -Nathan
88pathoffroad
There are no WD21 Pathfinders with 31 spline front axles. They're either 27 for the 4-cylinders and the 86.5-89 V6 or 28 from 90-95. The rear axles are 31 spline though.
