ok i destroyed my h233a rear end in my 1988 pathfinder

should i replace it with a stock h233a rear end from 87 to 88

or get a newer h233b rear end from newer pathfinders. (i have a h233b from a 1995 but it has the wrong gears)

what do you guys think? is better?

There is no real advantage that I can think of, to replacing it with a newer (up to '95) unit. There are minor differences (only one that I can think of right now) but none that will be an advantage either way.

You can install that one as it is, but DO NOT use 4WD until you either re-gear it or the front so that they match or you will destroy your transfer case.
