check engine light - new flowmaster

I recently upgraded to a Flowmaster 40 and 2.25 exhaust, we also removed the cat. Sounds great, and much improved flow and power, but my check engine light has come on a few times...usually when driving along in 4th or 5th at lower rpm. 1500-2200. Then when I gear down, and rev her up to 3000 - 3500 rpm shifting between 1st 2nd 3rd, the light will go out. Haven't checked the codes yet, but wondering if anyone had any ideas? Or if anyone had the same situation after uprading their exhaust? Maybe O2 sensor? Any help would be great!

Thanks,

But the cat back on regardless. There is no reason not to run a high flow version. Be responsible...

I'm with B. A high flow universal is cheap, it won't cost you ANY noticeable hp, may actually add torque, will reduce the tailpipe stench, and is just good karma. Why be a gross polluter when it is so easy not to be?
