Greyscale
So, I go to head out to my 9am class today and my pathfinder won't start. The battery appears to be totally dead. I get a tiny bit of power coming off it, but nothing useable. It was perfectly fine yesterday, how did this happen. I did not leave any lights on and all the doors were shut tight. Any thoughts? 94extreme
you either have some kind of a drain (lights will do it) or your alt isn't loading the battery fully.
IncidentalOffroader
How old was the battery? In my experience, older batteries fail very suddenly.
texasbudman
When my alt went out... thats pretty much what happened to me... did you have a few of the panel lights flikering??? I did a lil ck'ing and there was a sequence so I had kinda guessed it was comming... read the links on the alt... Did you ck the connections??? Greyscale
Well the alt appears to be fine and its charging the battery. It looks like I have a major short somewhere, as disconnecting the battery overnight preserves the charge. Time to do some hunting with a voltmeter.
