temp gauge

first off my temp gauge stoped working. i found a post about how to tell if your gauge is geting power and have messed with it a little. i was mesing with it the other day and my dad thinks the sensor may be bad. it there a way to tell or do i just nead to change it.

i have a 89 pathfinder 3.0 v6.

Does you fuel gauge work ok? There is a regulator on the back of the cluster that can fail. When it does, it usually take out both gauges(temp and fuel).

every once in a while about every 5th time i drive my temp gauge and fuel gauge stop working... how do i change that regulator and where can i get it?

i've actually got 2 of the regulators. I bought one off ebay, and they sent me two (when i was fixing my temp/fuel gauge)

 

here is how to fix them. check on ebay for the ka7808 regulator. it cost me shipping and all like 2 bucks.
