  1. Once you reallies how to get it off it really isn't that hard. It is not convenient but can be done. But why do it when you can just put a remote filter on for under $50?
  2. There is a ground behind the ash tray in mine. If it comes loose it will kill the dash lights.
  3. Check the wires going in to the plugs on the batteries positive cable. I just had about the same thing happen to me and worked on it for three weeks changing plug wires, coil, coil control module, fuel pump, fuel filter, pump relay, and on and on. Try wiggling them then see if it will start. If it dos do it again to see if it dies. If it dos there is your problem. Hope this helps.
  4. A hood scoop would look cool. But forget the jeep guys, they shut up when you go every where they do for half the $. My buddy kept giving me a hard time till it took him 4 times to get up a hill I got up the first time.
  5. Died again today and wont start at all. Ran the codes and it says the same thing.
  6. Well I changed the TPS and it ran good all day then died about 10 min. ago on my way home. Dont know what else to do. Is there any thing that could be making it malfunction or something? Im at a loss of what to do.

  8. Changed the MAF sensor and it ran for a bit and then died when I was trying to get it to a shop to run diagnostics. My dad and I messed with it a bit and got it to run again and he thinks it is the plug wires so I ordered the best set I could fined this time (since this is bout the third set I have put on it). They are going to be in in the morning. Will see what hapens from there and will let yall know.

  10. I have been told by two different people that the coil could be cracked or something and could stop working when it gets worm. It has a new alternator, again about 6 months ago.
  11. Ok so this weekend I went to meet some friends a couple hrs. away and my pathy ran good all the way there and while we were running around the city. Then for no apparent reason it died. It started right back up and was ok for a bit and then died again in a parking lot. We sat for a minute and it started. I parked it went and ate and when we came back it started fine and drove for about an hour before it died again a couple times in just a few miles. Again sat for a few minutes and it started and drove the other hour home. It ran fine except it would kinda stall out around 3000 rpm acted like it was not getting gas. So I changed the fuel filter, pump, and pump relay. Also have changed the plugs, wires and the rotter cap with in the last 6 months. Now it will start and run for a bit and then when you try to drive it dies. After it sites for a bit it will start and run but dies every time i try to drive it. I need to get this fixed asap as it is my only car. am think maybe the coil and may try to replace it tomorrow. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. FYI it is an 89 V6 4x4 FI other info in my profile.
  12. i have run 31x10.5x15s on mine ever since i got it bout 3 years. put it through everything and never had a problem.
  13. I have an 89 5spd. man. 3.0v6 185000+ miles probably at least 500lbs. of tools and stuff and average 16-17 mpg. My driving is bout half highway(65-70) half in town(35-45). On a recent trip out of state we put stock tires from a 01 fronter and averaged 20mpg. Also dont know bout the autos but at 70 mine sits at 3000rpm. i have a few mods they are listed on my profile hope this helps.
  14. totally sweet!!! i wanted to put duals on mine didnt care if it was twice as much but thought the sway bar was in the way. didnt think about running them down one side. try to get a video so we can hear it.
  15. hay thanks for all the help. i was gone for over a week and as always work has been crazy since i have got back. cant find a kit on summit but found this one on jegs. http://www.jegs.com/i/Trans%20Dapt/969/1113/10002/-1 the one on summit dos not say it will fit the 3.0 v6. also is it any better to put the double on. again thanks for all the help will probable be ordering one in the next week.
  16. changing the filter before the headers was a bit of a pain but did it many times now the headers are in the way.
  17. i just put headers on my truck and am very happy but was wandering how do you get the oil filter off. will be needing to change the oil in not to long and am not shure how to go about it. is there a filter that i can leave on a couple of times.
  18. just put 2.5 inch pipe and a flowmaster 40. pretty happy, some rumble at lower rpm but kind of disappears as they rise. also have thorley headers dont know if that makes a difference.
  19. first off my temp gauge stoped working. i found a post about how to tell if your gauge is geting power and have messed with it a little. i was mesing with it the other day and my dad thinks the sensor may be bad. it there a way to tell or do i just nead to change it. i have a 89 pathfinder 3.0 v6.
  20. i got my thoryel's last week. got them on and the motor back in today. i was wandering if i can run dual exhaust and if so will it mess up the o2 sensor. also what size pipe should i run and any suggestions on muflers.
  21. thanks for the help. dont mean to be a nuisance. had searched headers several times and never saw the ones you posted. also was wandering if there is any way to pull broken manifold studs.
  22. on the thorley site it said that thay would not fit if you had a hydraulic cluch.
  23. i did a google search for thorleys and the only ones i found were over $500 ans said thay would not fit if you had a hydraulic cluch. the pacesetters were long tube and from what people on the bords were saying thay had some interference.
  24. i am replacing the engin in my 89 pathfinder and am concidering headers since i have every thing apart. i have a 3.0 v6 5spd. i was just wandering if it is worth it and if so what problums i might come in to. thanks for any help.
