What the Hell?

'89 Pathy; alarm will not turn off. No remote, just the little switch below the radio. Is there a fuse just for it or any other way to keep it from going off. I followed the owners manual, and it was no help.

Put key in ignition and turn on... Shuts right off

I know that. It just goes off all the time. Like if I open the door to get something out and shut it and lock it, it goes off.

clip the speaker in the engine compartment or the power supply to the alarm...just makes ure the locks still work

yea my stock alarm never worked but the other day my lights started flashing and i figured it was the old stock alarm going off.

On the dashboard (left of the steering wheel, at least on mines), theres a tiny switch. 3 settings, alarm on, impact off and off. Try a few see if it helps you.

By the way, mine was doing the same thing for quite some time, going off by itself and whatnot...pulled up the carpet on the driver's side under the seat and what do you know, a heavily corroded ground wire for the alarm. Fixed that and it's worked perfectly ever since.
