looking for an estimate

my control arm is busted off frame

replace bushing or arm?

If you are kneeling at the passenger side front tire and look under the truck there is an arm running from hub to chassis(lower control arm?)

It connects to chassis with rubber seals(bushings?) totally off.... the other side has bolt fastening this arm.

Sorry I cant put a picture up.

my control arm is busted off frame but seems to be in good shape

replace bushing or arm?

Busted off, as in came apart? Pictures would help, or a detailed description of what part seperated from what.

its the bar with 2 holes that attach to the frame...the bushings go on the ends of it against the frame and it connects to the LCA towards the rear of the vehicle

Right on this is what has broke.

Im missing half the bushing and attachment.

Can I take the compression rod off to have a new bushing fitted?

Actually compression rod has snapped!

What next?

Replace it. :togo: Check the local junkyard for one in good shape for cheap, or you can go through Nissan, but I believe I heard they wanted quite a bit. You can get a bushing kit for cheap, either stock replacement or poly. I think I paid around $25 for both sides IIRC for an Energy Suspension kit. While you're at it, inspect the other side and at least replace the bushings if the rod is ok. You can get the bushings through the local shops or even eBay. Ebay auction

Thanks for the help

Bushings cost me $35 cdn, rod cost 90

changed it out this morning no problem.

Found out one of my caliper pins seized. Also a quick cheap fix.

Thanks again

I cant say enough good things about my trucks performance in all this snow. In 4x4 that is!
