racerdave
I just bout a 91 pathfinder 4x auto v6 for 250$ It runs rough when it gets warm. Any ideas? I am a Nissan guy, but this is my first pathfinder. I have a 89 Nissan 240sx coupe with a Silva conversion that I don't want to drive in the winter, so that is why I got the pathfinder. Just wanted to know what some common issues are with these, and anything I might want to look out for? It has a leak somewhere around the passenger side floor. The heater control for the fan seems to not work, also the left side of the buttons for the stereo don't work (no biggy, it will get replaced). It also needs front wheel bearings (how hard/expensive is this?)
TerranoNZ
Welcome to the family Trans cooler if it doesn't have an aftermarket one on it and the cam belt (They bend valves when they break) They'd be the 2 big issues.

Casey.T
yes he does... hes from way down south... they do things a little backwards.... Running Rough once it warms up???? Check the ECU codes, could be as simple as a loose MAF wire...

Slick
hello and welcome! check for vaccum leaks and as above, the MAF wire (could be an injector going bad too) Edited January 30, 2008 by Slick
racerdave
hello and welcome! check for vaccum leaks and as above, the MAF wire (could be an injector going bad too) awesome, I am making a list of all the possibilities. I will post up the ECU codes on friday. This is going to be my weekend project to get this thing running in good order. It just snowed about 5" last night and I cant drive my 240 in the snow :-\ so I need an alternate way to get to work, the pathfinder should save me :-)

Yeah this seems to be one of the best sources of info I have found thus far. I pick up the pathfinder day after tomorrow, I am EXCITED! I have a feeling its something simple, the guy said it started to do it, and when they gave it a tune up it seems to have fixed it and then it just randomly started doing it again, so im thinking maybe a bad sensor connection.
